The Very Hungry Plant
Renato Moriconi
A carnivorous plant begins by swallowing small creatures, including a caterpillar, butterfly, spider, and gecko. Its appetite continues as it consumes increasingly large and fantastical subjects, from a gymnast and airplane to aliens and an angel choir. The plant grows with every meal until it finally rests, apparently full. Then an enormous herbivorous dinosaur slowly eats the plant across wordless spreads. Acrylic artwork shows the plant’s expanding size, while oversized painted lettering carries the text.
