Time for Kenny
Brian Pinkney
Four brief episodes follow Kenny, a small Black boy, through a day with his family. While getting dressed, he tries on clothing belonging to his father, mother, sister, and grandfather. Later, a vacuum cleaner frightens him. His big sister helps him practice soccer, reminding him not to use his hands. At bedtime, Kenny resists the countdown because he does not feel sleepy, until he suddenly does. Even then, he still has enough energy for his mother to read with him.
