The Storm Keeper’s Island

Fionn and his older sister Tara spend the summer on Arranmore, off Ireland’s western coast, while their mother receives treatment for depression. Fionn, whose father drowned before he was born, fears the sea but is drawn to the island and his grandfather’s cottage of date-labeled candles. He learns that burning a candle permits travel to that point in Arranmore’s past. His grandfather, the current Storm Keeper, believes Fionn may be meant to succeed him.
