The Memory Thief

Twelve-year-old Rosie has long cared for herself and her mother, whose distance from reality is linked to memories taken by a witch shortly after Rosie’s birth. Rosie discovers ghosts near her home, and her ability to see them draws the attention of the witch responsible. Ebb, a ghostly boy, leads her to her mother’s witch-hunting journal and introduces Homer, an older ghost who explains Rosie’s family history and the threat she faces. Although the ghosts urge Rosie to run, she refuses to abandon her mother. Her friend Germ remains beside her as the danger grows.
