Detective Gordon, an aging toad, is asked to investigate a squirrel’s stolen nuts. He soon meets a young, energetic mouse, gives her the name Buffy, and gains an assistant for the case. Together, the pair examine the crime scenes, collect clues, and work out what their suspect must be able to do. Their investigation leads them to set a trap and catch the thieves, while Gordon and Buffy form a new partnership.
