Detective Gordon, an aging toad, investigates bullying, teasing, and exclusion among the animals in his forest. The incidents have left animals upset, and Gordon is determined to find who is responsible. Fieldwork is tiring for him, so his young mouse assistant, Buffy, helps with careful questioning and intervention. Their inquiry leads them to the underlying problem and to a new rule: everyone should be able to play with everyone else. The case explores how actions affect others in a shared community.
