This anthology examines everyday resistance through four poems, a comic, and eight short stories. Its characters confront racism, sexism, Islamophobia, sexual harassment, and other harms that arise in ordinary life. The pieces include a student responding to harassment by someone she considered a friend, a Black girl faced with a racist promposal, and stories involving Muslim identity, disability pride, and gender identity. Across the collection, resistance appears as a necessary choice and a form of courage when harm comes from classmates, neighbors, friends, or institutions.
