Secret Sisters of the Salty Sea

Alix and her older sister, Jools, spend a week on a summer beach vacation that differs sharply from their life at home. Their days include ocean swimming, cycling to a nature preserve, and joining a raptor rehabilitation program. The family rents an apartment above the home of Nessa’s grandmother, and Alix and Nessa become friends. The story follows Alix’s perspective while also including Nessa’s, whose familiarity with the beach and its creatures contrasts with the sisters’ new experiences.
