Snow Lane

In Massachusetts during the mid-1980s, Annie Bianchi is the youngest of nine children in a Catholic household. Bright and creative, she attends a gifted class while struggling with dyslexia and has a school friend, Jordan, who is her lab partner. Annie recognizes that her teenage sister Fay physically abuses and is cruel to their sister Nora, and she knows her mother is often overwhelmed. From Annie’s viewpoint, the book discloses larger truths through small details and occasional dramatic moments in her daily life.
