Pretty Furious

In a small Ontario town, five high-school friends use each birthday as an occasion to plan a secret response to conduct they consider abusive or unjust. Their actions include targeting an anti-abortion church memorial, exposing boys who sexually harass girls at school, and protesting a coach’s exclusion of a transgender student. Careful planning and their reputations as good girls help keep the group from suspicion. Their retaliation can be cruel, raising questions about morality, gender, class, and privilege.
