A child watches oak leaves change through the seasons in this rhyming counting book. In spring, new leaves bud on a tree and are counted up to ten. Summer follows, then cooler weather brings autumn, when the leaves change color and fall. The book counts backward from ten to one as the leaves drop. After winter, new buds begin to grow again, returning the tree to the start of another seasonal cycle.
