Lair of Dreams: A Diviners Novel

In this second Diviners novel, a fatal sleeping sickness spreads through New York City: dreams become nightmares, and some people do not wake. The outbreak begins in Chinatown, where authorities quarantine Chinese and Chinese American residents even after the illness has spread further. Ling and Henry can enter dreams, and their abilities become stronger together, though time in dreams weakens them when awake. Their investigation leads them toward a ghost and a history shaped by exploitation and anti-Chinese immigration laws.
