Aaron Soto lives with his family in a one-bedroom apartment in the Bronx projects, where grief and hardship shape daily life. After his father’s suicide, he has support from his girlfriend Genevieve and his mother, but his family remains strained. The Leteo Institute offers a memory-wiping procedure that appears to have helped Aaron’s friend Kyle after his twin’s accidental death. When Aaron becomes close to Thomas, an artistic friend, he realizes he is in love with him. After Thomas rejects him, Aaron considers the risky procedure as a way to escape his pain.
