On Saturdays, Korean American Juna helps Appa at their dry-cleaning shop. When an expensive customer coat goes missing, she wants to assist in the search, but Appa—worried and busy—asks her to sit still. While making a poster and looking through baskets of clothing, Juna imagines animals whose fathers protect their young: an appa rhea bird sheltering eggs and a water bug carrying eggs on its back. Her attempts to connect with Appa are strained as he searches for the lost jacket.
