Binny, Benny, Bernie, Bonnie, and Buddy are five rabbit friends who usually eat, sleep, and play together. When the larger rabbit Hoppelpopp asks which of them is fastest, strongest, smartest, bravest, and best, their friendship turns into competition. They stop sharing their usual activities, and Buddy cries because he is not the best at anything. The arrival of a badger helps the rabbits remember they do better together, while Hoppelpopp leaves without naming a single best bunny.
