Her Radiant Curse

When Channi is a toddler, her father offers her to the Demon Witch in an attempt to save his wife during childbirth. The King of the Serpents bites Channi before the witch can kill her, poisoning her blood and leaving the witch unable to do so. In revenge, the witch gives Channi scales and snake-like features, promising to undo the curse only if Channi delivers her younger sister, Vanna, before Vanna turns seventeen. Channi endures isolation and taunting, with only Vanna and Ukar, a snake she can speak with, as friends.
