Float
Daniel Miyares
On a rainy day, a boy takes outside a newspaper boat folded by his father. He floats it in puddles until rushing water carries it down the street and into a storm sewer. Later, he finds the boat soaked and misshapen in a drainage ditch. He returns home, where his father offers comfort, and the boy heads out again with a paper airplane. The story is told without words.
