This collection brings together fifteen stories by adoptee authors. The pieces span realistic fiction, fantasy, and science fiction, with most told in prose and one presented as a graphic short story. Adoption is addressed directly in some stories, including experiences of transracial adoption. In others, it appears through metaphor or as an essential part of a protagonist’s identity rather than the central plot.
