During pandemic lockdown in Bengaluru, almost-nine-year-old Swara misses her grandmother, Pitter Paati, despite their online conversations. When Pitter Paati becomes sick and dies, Swara cannot accept the loss. Strange nighttime activity in a nearby sari shop gives her a mystery to investigate: men carrying small lights begin appearing in nearby businesses. Drawing on her grandmother’s love of mysteries, Swara recruits children in her apartment building, mostly through virtual connections, while her older brother Rishi reluctantly joins the effort.
