Told in Spanish and English, this first-person account follows Agüita, or Little Water, through the water cycle. Beginning deep within Mother Earth, the water reaches the surface as morning dew, continues into a river, and then rises into the sky. The poetic narrative shifts from one small drop to water in many forms. Textured paintings draw on Aztec-inspired symbols, and a Nahuat version of the text appears at the back.
