Up on Bob
Mary Sullivan, illustrated by Mary Sullivan
Bob, a dachshund, makes a bed ready for a long nap by tossing off its contents and rumpling the covers. Just as he settles in, he notices that someone is watching. The watcher is a cat, who climbs onto the bed and carefully licks, pats, and positions herself before choosing her own sleeping place: directly on top of Bob. The story follows the two animals as they find a way to nap together.
