Three teens spend a summer unpacking and cataloging lost luggage at an Alabama resale shop. Doris, a liberal feminist in a conservative Christian community, is grieving the recent death of her aunt. Grant is a former star athlete whose drinking led to a public downfall, and he struggles to stop drinking and forgive himself. Nell has moved from Illinois and misses the boyfriend she left behind.
