The Year We Fell from Space

Twelve-year-old Liberty Johansen knows her father has depression, but she and her younger sister, Jilly, are unprepared when he moves out after their parents announce a divorce. Liberty finds comfort under the stars and treats a meteorite she finds as a confidant. When her father begins spending time with them again, she still hopes her parents will reunite, even after learning he has a girlfriend. At school and at home, Liberty feels overwhelmed and begins to wonder whether she, too, has depression.
