When she shows Noah a pomegranate filled with worms, a chameleon darts out its tongue and eats one. This reveals what the chameleons need, and they are then allowed to eat the worms, apart from two Noah preserves. The story reimagines the ark through the animals’ feeding problem and the chameleon’s unexpected solution.
