Tales of a Seventh-Grade Lizard Boy

Tommy Tomkins is really Booger Lizk’t, one of a family of lizard people who fled the destruction of their underground home. The family changes its appearance to live among humans, but Tommy still feels out of place at his new middle school. He becomes friends with Dung Tran, whose scientist parents are investigating a nearby sinkhole connected to Tommy’s family. Dung encourages Tommy to join the basketball team, and Tommy eventually shares his secret. When they meet Scarlet, the three form a group, but Tommy’s fear of being left out leads him to betray his friends.
