Sabotage: The Mission to Destroy Hitler’s Atomic Bomb

This nonfiction account follows Norwegian underground fighters during World War II as they try to stop German heavy-water production in Norway. After the Nazi invasion, many of the men escape and work with the British in England to plan a mission. They parachute back into Norway during winter and join people who remained under German occupation. When an initial attack does not fully destroy the plant, the effort continues. A later mission to destroy the heavy-water supply in transit carries the risk of civilian deaths.
