One Jar of Magic

Rose Alice Anders, known as Little Luck, belongs to a family associated with magic, and her father believes she will become her community’s greatest magic collector. Collecting happens only on New Year’s Day after a person turns twelve, so Rose’s first gathering is approaching. Instead of certainty, she feels anxious about whether magic will come to her. Her best friend Ginger is spending more time with newcomer Maddy, while Rose also begins to recognize her father’s temper and the way he directs anger at her mother.
