Del joins a church youth group because Kiera, the girl he has liked since grade school, is involved. Instead, he finds himself committed to a pledge to wait for sex until marriage. At his school, recent teen pregnancies bring public shame to young mothers while fathers largely escape scrutiny, and sex education faces challenges. Del is drawn further into the group, where participants want reliable information about sex, while he confronts social pressure and ideas about masculinity.
