Not Quite Narwhal
Jessie Sima
Kelp lives among narwhals but knows he differs from them: his tusk is short, he dislikes their usual food, and he is not a strong swimmer. A current carries him far away, where he sees land and a group of sparkling creatures. On shore, Kelp learns that they are unicorns and that he is one, too. He enjoys being with them, then remembers his narwhal friends and worries whether he must choose. His friends already know who he is, and he remains connected to both groups.
