Lulu and Milagro’s Search for Clarity

Peruvian American sisters Lulu and Milagro are not close and did not expect to spend spring break together. Lulu, a strong student who wants to become a marine biologist, joins a school trip to visit colleges and pursue a Stanford summer program. After discovering that her boyfriend has cheated, Milagro is forced to join the trip at the last minute. The students are paired with peers from another high school. Milagro connects with Lucas, a gay musician, while Lulu is paired with popular Leo, whom she assumes she has little in common with.
