Love in the Library

Tama lives behind barbed wire at Minidoka, where Japanese and Japanese Americans are imprisoned during World War II. Unsure whether she will ever leave, she works in the camp library amid persistent fear, anger, and uncertainty. There she meets George, a frequent visitor. Their relationship grows into love, marriage, and the birth of their first child in Minidoka. The story places their family life against the injustice of incarceration.
