Little Brown

Little Brown is a brown dog at a kennel who has no one to play with. His crankiness and isolation leave the other dogs unsure whether he is excluded because of his behavior or unhappy because he is excluded. When he takes and keeps all the other dogs’ toys, the group must decide how to respond, while Little Brown must consider what to do himself. The narrative leaves the dogs’ situation unresolved, inviting discussion about the social problem they face.
