Floaty

Mr. Raisin lives alone, enjoys sewing, and prefers a quiet life. When a basket containing a puppy appears on his porch, he is especially unsettled to find that the puppy floats. Although he considers sending the animal away, he cannot bring himself to let it drift off. During their first day together, he tries to care for the puppy in improvised ways, and the two gradually become companions. Mr. Raisin names the dog Floaty. Later, when Floaty’s leash breaks during an outing, Mr. Raisin draws on his sewing skills to bring his new friend back.
