Like Water

Vanni Espinoza remains in her small New Mexico town after her father is diagnosed with Huntington’s disease. Her family needs help both at home and at their restaurant, while Vanni worries she may have inherited the condition. At a local pool, Lucas connects her with an audition for a water-park mermaid part and introduces her to his sister, Leigh. Vanni and Leigh develop feelings for one another, but Leigh’s reckless behavior and angry outbursts lead Vanni to reconsider the relationship as she weighs genetic testing.
