Like a Love Story

Set in New York City in 1989, this historical romance follows three teenagers during the AIDS crisis. Reza, an Iranian immigrant, is gay but closeted and frightened of HIV. Judy, an aspiring clothing designer, supports the queer community while coping with her uncle Stephen’s AIDS diagnosis and losses. Her friend Art is an openly gay ACT UP activist who regards Stephen as a father figure. When both Judy and Art develop feelings for Reza, he begins dating Judy despite being attracted to Art.
