Bloom

After high school, Ari hopes to leave his small coastal hometown for Baltimore with his bandmates and pursue music. His family’s Greek bakery is struggling, however, and his father insists that he remain to help. Ari searches for someone to take his place and hires Hector, a Samoan American spending the summer handling his late grandmother’s belongings. Hector quickly takes to baking, while Ari works at the bakery, reassesses his relationships, and spends more time with him. Their connection develops into a love story in this graphic novel.
