If I Were a Tree

An unnamed narrator imagines life from a tree’s point of view, considering what a tree might feel, taste, smell, hear, and see. Each spread focuses on one of the five senses and includes elements of a tree’s surroundings, such as sun, squirrels, nests, and bats. Alongside this poetic imagining, a multiracial family goes camping and explores nature with its own senses.
