Seventeen-year-old Icarus Gallagher helps his father, Angus, an art restorer who also creates forgeries. Icarus enters Mr. Black’s mansion to exchange valuable artworks for Angus’s copies, while planning to leave both home and their criminal life when he turns eighteen. During one visit, he meets Helios, Mr. Black’s teenage son, who is confined to the house and subjected to abuse. Helios keeps Icarus’s thefts secret in return for continued visits.
