Forty Winks: A Bedtime Adventure. The Thingity-Jig

Bear visits “people town” at night and finds a discarded red couch in a junk pile. Unsure what it is, he calls it a Thingity-Jig and asks Rabbit, Fox, and Raccoon to help move it to the forest, but they are too sleepy. Bear returns alone and builds devices from scraps: first a wheeled Rolly-Rumpity, then a Lifty-Uppity and a Pushy-Poppity. The inventions eventually let him bring the couch home.
