A girl is sick on the day of her class costume party and misses the chance to wear the rabbit outfit she and her mother prepared. The next day, she wears it to school anyway, only to realize that everyone else is in regular clothes. Feeling embarrassed as classmates point and giggle, she is relieved when Hugo arrives dressed as a carrot; he missed the party because he was sick too. Their game of carrot-and-bunny chase soon draws in the other children.
