In New York City in 1987, gay teen Micah meets eighteen-year-old CJ at a club. Closeted and sheltered, Micah has had only secret hookups with boys at his school. CJ works as a dancer at a gay nightclub and has received little support from the adults in his life. As he gradually tells Micah about his circumstances, the two fall in love. CJ also delivers meals to people confined at home with AIDS, while both boys live in the shadow of the epidemic.
