Cookies & Milk
Shawn Amos
In the summer of 1976, Ellis spends time with his father in Los Angeles after his parents’ divorce. He is skeptical when his father, a dreamer with a history of unsuccessful business ideas, opens a chocolate-chip cookie shop. While helping prepare the store, Ellis gets to know people in the neighborhood, including DJ Wishbone, whose past connection to Ellis’s father intrigues him. Music-loving Ellis visits the radio station where Wishbone plays records, while family members, friends, and neighbors support the new venture.
