Eric “Bitty” Bittle, a former junior figure-skating champion from Georgia, arrives at Samwell University as a freshman hockey recruit. He loves baking, vlogging, and skating, while his new teammates are louder and more brash than he expects. Bitty comes out to a teammate and finds that the team accepts that he is gay. As he learns hockey, moves into the hockey house, and bakes for the players, he also tries to understand their quiet captain, Jack, who initially seems to dislike him.
