Bulldozer’s Big Day
Candace Fleming
It is Bulldozer’s birthday, but the construction site seems too busy to notice. Bulldozer asks the other trucks whether they know what day it is, and each tells him that it is simply a work day. The trucks continue scooping, sifting, stirring, filling, and lifting while Bulldozer becomes increasingly glum. When the end-of-day whistle sounds, he discovers that the busy site has been preparing a surprise especially for him.
