Big Dreams, Small Fish

Shirley has ideas for modernizing her family’s store, but her parents believe she is too young to help. She also wants customers to try her mother’s gefilte fish, without success. When her aunt goes into labor, Shirley and Mrs. Gottlieb are left at the store. Shirley rearranges, decorates, and advertises, then gives away cans of gefilte fish with purchases. The next morning, neighbors line up to buy more of the unfamiliar specialty.
