Beti and the Little Round House
Atinuke
Beti lives with Mam, Tad, baby Jac, and her tiny goat, Naughty, in a round house in green woods beneath the mountains. Four episodic chapters follow her family through a year in the forest. In spring, a troublesome young goat disrupts her birthday party and later disappears. During summer, Beti and her friends spill the household water urn and work out how to refill it. Autumn brings a storm and shelter in the barn, while winter brings escaped horses after Beti leaves a field gate open.
