Ben and the Scaredy-Dog

Ben is eager to meet the family moving in across the street after his friend Peter has moved away. His excitement fades when he sees that the new neighbors have a dog. Ben is uneasy around dogs, especially because Max’s large jaws and teeth make him nervous. Yet Max is an old dog who feels nervous too. As Ben encounters his new neighbor and Max, the story brings together Ben’s hope for a new friendship and his fear of dogs.
