Alex and Jack meet for regular playdates in the park, each bringing favorite toys. Alex has sparkly, tutu-clad dolls, while Jack brings toy trucks. They first combine their interests by having dolls drive the trucks, but a toy crane leads to an argument about whether its driver can wear a tutu. After shouting, they talk through the disagreement and identify the practical concern about fitting in the driver’s seat. They then continue their time together with a shared ice-cream treat. The story follows play, disagreement, and conversation between two friends.
