A Boy Named Isamu: A Story of Isamu Noguchi

This picture book imagines a day in the childhood of Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi. As Isamu moves through an outdoor market, a forest, and the ocean, he notices the world through a young artist’s eyes. Stones become especially intriguing: he wonders about their weight and whether they could float.
