Wild Blue: Taming a Big Kid Bike

Kayla has outgrown the small pink bicycle she calls her pony and gets a larger blue bike from a shop. She names it Wild Blue and imagines the new bicycle as a horse that must be tamed. Her first rides are difficult: Wild Blue seems to buck, and Kayla falls. Learning to ride takes time and bravery. At the park, the sight of other cyclists helps Kayla and her bike feel ready to move forward. Her imagination turns her helmet into a cowgirl hat and Wild Blue into a strong, fast steed.
